“It is only out of ignorance that people are cruel, because they really don’t think it will come back.” - Maya Angelou
My thoughts: It amazes me how some people/friends/family incessantly whine or complain about their lives and how they’re mistreated, all while completely ignoring or blocking out their own wrongdoings. I see it on Facebook, Twitter, and of course, Tumblr.
— For some, it is warranted, but for many, I see it as hypocritical, delusional, and often, a cry for attention. IF you routinely treat people badly, what do you expect in return? Love? No. The energy you give off, will return upon you, whether you recognize it or not. And that, my friend, is karma.
Social networks gives way for people to carry on a facade of “perfection” or “innocence,” but truthfully, no one is perfect or completely innocent in life. Remember this, before pointing fingers. Spoiled and unappreciative brats.
Phony people like phony people. Even YOU can be mistaken if you phone these people.

I just realized that I’ve never reblogged anyone on Tumblr. Not cool, Marcus!
(yes, I’m talking to myself)
I think I’m gonna finally get a little more active on Tumblr.. (I know, I’ve said it before and basically disappeared)
You wanna leave? Then, goodBYE. Think the grass looks greener on the other side?
….but it’s DYE.

Aloe Blacc - “You Make Me Smile” official video (my favorite R&B artist out)
A great song to share with your kids and loved ones.
I never cared; I was careless. I fear being afraid. Or, maybe I’m afraid to be fearless? Or, fear being fearless, but fearful? So even in my carelessness, I gotta be careful.
Well one of two favorites..
While many of you are fixated on the more popular new R&B artists (i.e, The Weeknd), I find the greatest representation of “pure” R&B in Aloe Blacc’s music. Music for the soul. Soul Music. After all, that is what R&B is, in its essence.
His music = nostalgic (though all songs/videos are from 2010-2011)
So here are several songs from the Californian singer (also rap artist).
Good Things
You Make Me Smile
Femme Fatale
Take Me Back
I Need a Dollar (in studio - the song some of you are familar with)
I Need a Dollar (live - and brilliant)
R.I.P. to my lil god brother, Shawn Van. Today makes 2 years since he passed away.
I wanted to post pics of us as kids in the 80s, but my mother didn’t get a chance to scan them yet.
A pic of D. and Shawn.
R.I.P. Lil bro.

“it’s gonna be a long night. It’s gonna be alright…on the night-shift. You’ve found another home. I know you’re not alone…on the night-shift”
Rarely are we totally appreciative or consciously aware of just how much something is a part of you, until it’s taken away. Nostalgia often creeps upon us as a great reminder.
IT’S NOT GOODBYE. LET’S JUST SAY “SEE YOU LATER.”
This is a tribute post to “Chuck,” my all-time favorite prime time television series (along with “Lost” and “The Wire”).
Tonight is the series finale. Yep, after 5 years of 5 great seasons, the end is here. We’re about to wrap up the final two part-episode of such an incredibly original show. I’ve never witnessed such an effective mix of drama, comedy, mystery, romance, and action blended together so well. If I had a chance to create the perfect show based on my personality, it would be Chuck.
A list of of famous guest stars that have appeared: http://www.imdb.com/list/2zvdksfCSow/ (including Kristin Kreuk, Brandon Routh, Linda Hamilton, Rachel Bilson, Michael Clarke Duncan, Jordana Brewster, Chevy Chase, Olivia Munn, Christopher Lloyd, Mark Pelligrino, Michael Strahan, Eric Roberts, Robin Givens, Matt Bomer, Bo Derek, and MANY others)
A collection of great Chuck “goodbye” videos and “funny” scenes.
Chuck meets Sarah for the first time.
